[MacauHub] Portuguese exports to Brazil rose 22.5 percent year on year in the first 11 months of 2012, to US$897 million, according to figures from Brazil’s Development, Industry and Foreign Trade Ministry.
The figures showed that in November Brazil imported products worth US$91.8 million from Portugal, or 5 percent less than in November 2011.
In 2011 Portugal’s exports to the Brazilian market totalled US$835.7 million.
Between January and November Brazil’s exports to Portugal totalled US$1.56 billion, which is a drop of 17 percent on 2011.
In 2011 trade between Portugal and Brazil totalled US$2.889 billion.
In the first 11 months of 2012 trade between Portugal and Brazil totalled US$2.46 billion, and it is not expected that the levels of trade seen in 2011 will be achieved.
