[Notícia MacauHub] Myanma Airways, the national airline of Myanmar, has bought two Embraer 190 jets from US financial leasing company GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), Embraer said.
According to Embraer the two jet aircraft, which have 100 seats each, are the first to be bought from the company by a Myanmar airline, and will be delivered by the end of the year.
With a maximum reach of 4,400 kilometres, the Embraer 190s, which are part of plans to modernise the Myanma Airways fleet, will make it possible to offer new destinations in Asia.
Myanma Airways, which was founded in 1948, is the only state airline in Myanmar, and currently flies to most domestic destinations from its main operating base at Yangon International Airport.
Myanma Airways is due this year o start offering international destinations.
